signThe genesis of the Suffrage movement took place in an area of western New York stretching from Rochester to Syracuse. Within this area exists many historic sites that set the backdrop for the nascent movement. Sites include places where people associated with the women’s right to vote lived, worked, studied, worshipped, gathered and participated in social, civic and reformist events. While some residences and sites are open to the public, many are not.

The Women’s Rights Trail would include a signed auto route linking the sites together, guidebooks, indoor and outdoor exhibits, and site preservation.
